Spray foam insulation that incorporates renewable oils and recycled plastic bottles

Despite some reservations in the green building community, spray foam has become one of the top options for creating a tight building envelope for better home performance.

Spray foam has been widely recognized for its performance once it's installed in the home, but the chemicals involved in some early products were not the most environmentally friendly.

But Demilec, an Arlington, Texas-based manufacturer and distributor of spray foam products and equipment, offers products with renewable and natural components that bring spray foam to a new level of green.

At Greenbuild 2014, Darren Butler, territory manager for Demilec, reviewed some of the company's insulation products in the video above.

Demilec's SEALECTION Agribalance combines natural, renewable oils with a traditional spray foam insulation to provide one of the highest R-value per inch for open cell foam in the industry.

HEATLOK SOY 200 PLUS formula incorporates renewable oils and recycled plastic bottles in the creation of a high performing, closed cell insulation. A single application provides air, water and vapor protection and improves your home’s structural integrity.
