Indoor airPLUS looks to be resource for high-performance builders

| by Steve Arel

Indoor airPLUS is a voluntary partnership and labeling program that helps new home builders of single- and multifamily structures improve the quality of indoor air by requiring construction practices and product specifications that minimize exposure to airborne pollutants and contaminants.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s approach: Clean air is good for everyone’s health, but it can be especially important to those that have chronic respiratory conditions.

Nick Hurst, Indoor airPlus’ manager, took part in the recent Energy & Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA) High Performance Home Summit in Atlanta to promote the program, which began nearly a decade ago, and outline how it can positively benefit builders who participate and help improve indoor air quality within their projects.
